Solent Boat Club

At Solent Boat Club we allow our members to enjoy all the fun associated with boating but without the hassle and stress of owning a boat. We look after all the maintenance, cleaning and storage of the boats so all you have to do is book a day in the diary turn up and go.

Solent Boat Club offers unlimited all year round access to our boats for fun days out on the water.
We limit the number of members per boat and only allow a certain number of bookings to be made at a time thus ensuring everyone has good access all year round for a memorable day on the water.
All members are required to have a minimum of a Powerboat Level 2 with relevant experience. Those looking to start boating or those who have experience but do not have a licence can still apply - we will be putting on a number of training days throughout the year where you can obtain your licence - please contact us for more information.
We have two membership options: you can be a Solent Rib Club member and have use of our 7.8m ribs or a Solent Boat Club member and have use of our Axopar and also our ribs.
How It Works

As a Solent Boat Club member you have unlimited access all year round to our fleet of boats.

We limit the number of members for every boat. Each Solent Boat Club member is permitted to book up to two days at a time. Once the first day has been redeemed you can then book in the next one.
For special occasions eg. Birthdays, Anniversaries etc we are offering each Solent Boat Club member one Wild Card per year which will allow you to book a day on the water at any point in the future in addition to your two rolling booked days.

On your first day on the water we will have one of our skippers meet you at the marina who will give you an induction into the boat, go through where all the safety equipment is, explain how all the electronics and systems work etc. Included in your membership you will have the skipper with you for the day who will be able to orientate you with boating in The Solent, they will point out any local hazards and speed limits etc. So if you have never been into Yarmouth before or are looking to go to lunch in Bembridge they will be on board to help guide you on your first day out on the water with us. The only additional costs you have is the fuel that you use and any visitor mooring costs you incur on your day out.

Likewise if you wanted to brush up on some skills or have a skipper with you so that you can visit somewhere for the first time we can help with this.
Membership covers only the boat club member to helm the boat. If you wanted an additional family member to be added to the membership this can be arranged as per the same terms as the lead member for an additional £100 per month.
